Young people aged 7-12 in the L8 area now have a fantastic new place to unwind and have fun after school. Last month The Florrie unveiled The Basement, an ultimate youth zone offering a range of exciting activities every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5-8pm.
The Basement is designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for children to enjoy their evenings. With a cinema room for movie nights, a games room for friendly competitions, and a Florrie Radio studio to explore their creative talents, there’s something for everyone. Dive into our cinema room, challenge friends in the games room, or get creative in the Florrie Radio studio. Don’t miss out on the coolest spot to hang out with friends and make new ones!
“The Basement is all about giving young people a space where they can relax, make new friends, and discover new hobbies,” said Beau Basement Co-ordinator for The Florrie. “We wanted to create an inclusive, fun, and supportive environment where kids can be themselves and have a great time after school.”
Local parents are already praising The Basement for its diverse range of activities and the positive impact it’s expected to have on the community. After attending test events in the space, parents have shared enthusiastic feedback. “It’s great to have such a dedicated space for our children. They’re always looking forward to going, and it’s wonderful knowing they have a safe place to go after school”.
Open to all young people aged 7-12 who live in L8, The Basement has limited spaces available. Don’t miss out on the coolest spot in town for young people to hang out, have fun, and create lasting memories.
