Liverpool Lost Boys Scooter Club Visits The Florrie

It was a fantastic day at The Florrie as we welcomed the Liverpool Lost Boys Scooter Club to our community building! The air was filled with excitement and camaraderie as the club members, known for their passion for classic scooters and love of mod culture, roared in on their vintage Vespas and Lambrettas.

A Special Thanks to Tommy

A special shout-out goes to our very own volunteer, Tommy, who is not only a dedicated member of The Florrie team but also an enthusiastic member of the Liverpool Lost Boys Scooter Club. Tommy’s efforts were instrumental in organizing this memorable visit, showcasing the spirit of community and collaboration that The Florrie is all about.

Quadrophenia Episode of The Right Track

To celebrate this unique event, Tommy has put together a special Quadrophenia-themed episode of The Right Track on Florrie Radio. Inspired by The Who’s iconic rock opera, this episode promises a nostalgic trip back to the mod scene of the 1960s. Be sure to tune in on Tuesday, July 30th at 8pm by visiting theflorrie.org/florrieradio for an evening of classic tunes and scooter culture stories.

Joining the Thursday Guitar Group

The visit wasn’t just about scooters; it was also a chance to bring people together through music. The Liverpool Lost Boys Scooter Club joined our Thursday Guitar Group for a singalong session featuring hits from The Who. The sounds of guitars strumming and voices harmonizing to “My Generation” created an atmosphere of unity and joy. You can watch a snippet of this wonderful musical moment here.

Whether it was through the rumble of scooters or the strum of guitars, the visit was a beautiful reminder of the vibrant culture and community spirit that thrives at The Florrie.

We look forward to more events like this and continue to celebrate the diverse passions and talents within our community. A big thank you to everyone who made this day special, especially our volunteer Tommy, the Liverpool Lost Boys Scooter Club, and all who joined in the fun.
