We’re absolutely buzzing to share some incredible news—The Basement, our Youth Zone here at The Florrie, has been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s Northern Design Awards! Competing in the Interior Design – Social Space £500k-£1m category, The Basement’s innovative design has captured attention alongside some impressive spaces, including Manchester United’s iconic bars and Somewhere By Nico.
What was once a dark, unused basement has been transformed into a vibrant, welcoming youth hub, thanks to the vision of the talented architects at Unit3 Design Studio Ltd and designer Anna Farrall. This space has truly become a source of energy and inspiration for our community. Now, The Basement is a lively place where young people from across Liverpool’s L8 community come to connect, create, and make memories. From music and arts to a place just to chill out, this space is all about giving our youth a place to call their own.
